Now that the post-Wrestlemania hype has pretty much subsided, I wanted to look at something completely different from the big event – music. Entrance music is a vital part of a wrestler’s arsenal. It’s what identifies them in the eyes of the common fan. When that first note hits… that’s when a wrestler gets the biggest pop. That’s when shivers go down the spine. It’s often the little things that distinguish between a good and great superstar, and the music – often even just the first note or two – is perhaps the most important of those little things. Good music should be instantly recognisable, and be relative to the character they are playing – they should tell the fans something about that individual. And it does help if it’s just a good song. This is a list of music that I rate highly (feel free to disagree, it’s all my opinion), because they do the job they have well.
We picked the name because of the literal meaning of “pleb”:
one of the common people.
That is all we are. Just some normal people who don’t have any inside information, don’t have any significance in the wrestling community, and don’t have any influence. Because of that, there is really no reason to read our “Points of View” – but thankfully for us you have. This is a form for anybody and everybody to discuss wrestling – most likely the WWE – without any form of rank or importance.
And let me introduce myself. I am Andrew, the creator of this blog. I have alway had an affinity for writing, and was inspired to start a blog after reading others online. I am not expecting perfect articles from myself immediately, and would appreciate any and all feedback. I will try to provide new content for the site as much as possible, but with various exams looming in the not too distant future I may struggle to be as consistent as I would like around May. I’m looking forward to writing for a wrestling blog, and I hope it will be a great experience.
Finally, if you are reading this, thank you. and as always feel free to give your own comments and feedback.
Having seen both Wrestlemania 28 and Raw there were only two things going through my mind: the freak of nature, the athlete that needs to be seen to be believed, the wrestler formerly known as the Next Big Thing – Brock Lesnar – is BACK!!!! And of course, YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! The reaction both Lesnar and Daniel Bryan got at Raw was unbelievable, especially when you consider the short amount of time they were on screen in total. Of course, Bryan was part of the dark match, and when he got to talk after the crowd reacted to everything he said. Continue reading Thoughts of a Pleb: Bryan and Brock
It’s finally here. Wrestlemania 28 is mere minutes away as I post this. So what better way to start this blog than by giving our own predictions for the matches at the event. I am Andrew, and making his predictions alongside me will be Brent. On a side note, later in the week we will have a few introductory blogs, saying who we are and explaining the name of the blog. But back to the near future – 32 minutes away in fact – and Wrestlemania! I must admit I have had limited contact with Brent about these predictions, which is why he appears to go into a lot less detail. So, in no particular order and without further ado… Continue reading Wrestlemania 28 Predictions
